The history of the Sheshmaoil Group of Companies began with the establishment of the oil-producing company JSC “Sheshmaoil” in December 1997.From 2001 to 2006, the company was headed by Rustem Shafagatovich Takhautdinov. Under his leadership, production capacity was significantly expanded, and extensive work was carried out—from exploration, well drilling, field infrastructure development, and production automation to efficient well operation.

Establishment of LLC "Management Company 'Sheshmaoil'". The producing companies JSC "Sheshmaoil", JSC "Geologiya", LLC "NK-Geologiya", and JSC "Ideloil" were placed under its management.
2009
The producing companies JSC "Elabuganeft", JSC "Geotech", and JSC "Kondurchaneft" were placed under management.
2014
A comprehensive oil treatment unit was commissioned, incorporating hydrogen sulfide stripping and amine gas sweetening technologies, with subsequent utilization of associated petroleum gas for the company's own needs.
2015
The Sheshmaoil Group of Companies celebrated the production of 10 million tonnes of oil.
2021
In May 2021, the group of companies celebrated the 15th anniversary of the establishment of LLC "Management Company 'Sheshmaoil'".
